The Appcharge logo is displayed in the bottom right corner.

At Appcharge, we’re building the leading direct-to-consumer platform for mobile game publishers, helping them reclaim revenue and build stronger relationships with their players. As more top-tier publishers turn to us to power their web stores, we’re scaling our team to keep up with demand. That’s why we’re excited to welcome two industry veterans—Sean Megaw as Director of Business, North America, and Jin Woo Hong as Managing Director, Korea.

Strengthening Our Presence in North America and Korea

North America and Korea are two of the most dynamic markets for mobile games, each with its own opportunities and challenges. With Sean and Jin joining our team, we’re doubling down on our ability to support game publishers in these key regions.

Sean Megaw brings over 25 years of experience in the games industry, with a career spanning AAA studios like BioWare and Ubisoft before moving into mobile game development. As a CEO and Game Director, his studios have launched over 30 games, including Sky Pirates of Neo Terra, Sky Punks, the Tap Cats series, and Airport BillionAir. Sean’s expertise in game monetization design makes him a perfect fit to help North American publishers maximize the value of their direct-to-consumer strategy.

Jin Woo Hong joins us with a decade of experience in business development across the gaming and tech industries. Most recently, he served as Regional Director for East Asia at Coda Payments, where he drove over 100% annual growth in the Korean market. Before that, he worked on growth strategy and new business initiatives at Nexon Korea. With Korea at the forefront of mobile gaming innovation, Jin will play a critical role in helping publishers embrace direct-to-consumer models and out-of-app payment solutions.

What This Means for Game Publishers

Our mission is simple: empower mobile game publishers to sell directly to their players, boosting revenue while building long-term player loyalty. Sean and Jin are already making an impact, working closely with publishers to introduce them to the opportunities that a direct-to-consumer model unlocks.

“Sean’s deep understanding of mobile game monetization and Jin’s knowledge of the Korean market are unparalleled,” said Maor Sason, Co-founder and CEO of Appcharge. “With them on board, we’re in a stronger position than ever to help game publishers take control of their revenue and connect more directly with their players.”

Growing With the Industry

Appcharge is powering stores for over one-third of the top-grossing mobile games, and we’re just getting started. As the shift to direct-to-consumer accelerates, we’re continuing to innovate—providing fully branded web stores, gamified offers, loyalty programs, global payment solutions, and more.

Finally, if you’re at GDC this year, Sean and Jin will be there—reach out to connect!

We’re thrilled to have them on board and can’t wait to see how they help shape the future of mobile game monetization.

Thanks. Exciting new things coming your way!
